We left home at 7:43 a.m.
(which is earlier than hoped for by Deb and Anne,
and later than hoped for by Vince).
78° and sunny
Illinois at 9:06 and Missouri at 10:51
(we weren't setting new land/speed records;
there was a time change).
We ended up in Hays, Kansas
after 728 miles, 100°+ temperatures,
and lots of sunshine.
Dinner was at Gella's, a microbrewery in the old downtown section . . .

Overall, the day went well as we accustomed ourselves
to being together 24/7 for today and the rest of the week.
Although, Anne did text Lee in mid-afternoon . . .
